Phil Leathers, JD/MBA
For the past 10+ years, Phil worked for investor groups of varying sizes and strategies, always specializing in founder and family run businesses between $3M – $50M in revenues. Having worked on 300+ transactions during that time, he witnessed the good, the bad, and the ugly of the M&A world. That experience fueled his desire to start a business helping owners navigate the complexities of selling their business.
Prior to his time in investing, Phil worked at a boutique law firm in Los Angeles for 3+ years while pursuing his law degree at night. Working with business owners from a legal capacity motivated him to pursue his MBA, which lead him to the world of investing. In his early twenties, he had an entrepreneurial stint and operated a successful private tutoring business in Los Angeles.
Phil is a passionate and lifelong musician. Most weekends you can find him at a local music venue or brewery in the Denver area playing guitar in his band. He also enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his family and dogs, whether that’s hiking, biking, backpacking, camping, or rafting.
